Pre-Paid Credit Cards and the In-Game Store
Does anyone know if pre-paid credit cards (disposable credit card) work with the in-game store?
Also, if the card can't be added to, will I have to contact support about using a different credit card number? If anyone has any experiences with this info would be much appreciated. *Note: I'd rather not use a normal credit card, Pay Pal, or some other internet service. |

Yes it does work, cause I used a gift/pre-paid credit card, and I was able to get the Dwayna set~.

They most certainly do, I was able to use an American Express Gift Card in the ingame store to get the BMP.

Thanks, that helps alot!
Now about part 2. If the card is non-re-fillable, will I get blocked for using too many different credit cards should I buy things later? *Note: I've never bought one of these cards, so I don't know if I can re-fill them or not. some refill and some dont, you shouldnt get blocked unless one of the cards gets in trouble for being fradulant (ex. if you do credit card fraud and are using multiple stolen cards and one files a fraud charge on that payment anet will close the account)

I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to me that the online store doesn't store credit card info anyway. If I recall, I've had to enter my cc info every time I've made a purchase. But, in any case, I doubt that they care what cc you use, as long as it's a legitimate card/purchase.

Odd... a few years a go a brought a friend a character slot on her account as a birthday present using a card I had previously used to purchase things on my own account with no trouble what so ever.
So that could be a recent thing. Either way you do have to add in your card details each time you use the store so I cant see why having more than a few credit numbers would be problem. If in doubt email guild wars support about it :P |

Well I know for a fact that this information is wrong. I have 6 accounts and have used the same card on at least 5 accounts for various reasons. So I do know you can use the same card on multiple accounts.

I've had no issues using multiple cards on a single account, two of which were non-refillable prepaid cards. Same for using one card on multiple accounts. You should be fine as long as you don't go on a massive spending spree, or have a problem with the card.
